Sensory Concerts® was founded in 2017 by Grace Kim, a concert pianist and mother, to make high-quality music accessible to all, particularly neurodivergent families. These concerts cater to individuals with sensory and additional needs, often associated with Autism, ADHD, Tourette Syndrome, and various disabilities. Designed to create a soothing, welcoming environment, they feature sensory-friendly music, flexible seating, retreat spaces, freedom of movement, and onsite therapist support.

Held at Manly Art Gallery and Museum, the performances offer an up close and personal “Opera House” quality experience. Grace Kim leads the program, joined by cellist Teije Hylkema (Principal Cello, Opera Australia Orchestra) and soprano Anna Fraser (Pinchgut Opera and Sydney Chamber Opera)

The Sydney Chamber Music Festival is an annual event at the Manly Art Gallery and Museum, featuring top Australian musicians performing a mix of classical and contemporary music at affordable prices. Held over one weekend, the festival is known for its creative programming inspired by the gallery’s art exhibitions. It includes a special concert for families with special needs and premieres a new Australian composition each year. With only 100 seats, the festival offers an intimate experience near Manly Wharf, easily accessible by ferry from Sydney’s CBD. Concert times are convenient for both young families and the elderly.

Proudly supported by The Australian Elizabethan Theatre Trust

Supporting the arts in Australia by Australians and for Australians since 1954.
