GLEBE MUSIC FESTIVAL

Baroque Amity features differing styles of popular instrumental genres represented by three composers of the early C18th. Handel and Telemann’s epistolary friendship often concerned their mutual love of gardens. In 1754 Handel sent Telemann a casket of the ‘best plants in all England’ according to the recipient’s wishes. Austral Harmony’s programme highlights expressive melody and an especially sonorous blend of instruments.
