Vivaldi’s evocative masterpiece interwoven with works from some of the world’s foremost contemporary composers.
“Tangos, banjos, seasons and surprises – on my! Camerata…really impressed.” Limelight on Four Seasons Reimagined, 2022
“…this was a most delectable concert by Camerata, rich and luscious with superb playing…” Sydney Arts Guide
The Four Seasons has captivated audiences and music-makers the world over, and Camerata – Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra is no exception.
In this performance, in Camerata embarks on a visionary reimagining of The Four Seasons, intertwining Vivaldi, Max Richter (from his hit post-minimalist album, Recomposed by Max Richter), Astor Piazzolla (with a Buenos Aires tango version of “Spring”), a “Tibetan Winter” by Roxanna Panufnik and more.
Camerata will also be joined by special guest, esteemed Australian Guitar, Mandolin and Banjo virtuoso Joel Woods for Mark O’Connor’s spritely “Summer”.
Four Seasons Reimagined will uplift, delight, and celebrate the talent of Camerata’s Artistic Associates in solo roles.
Presented by Mackay Chamber Music Festival and Camerata.
