EMERGING CONCERT ARTIST Michael de Huy, piano presents:

Entwined: Danza & Ballade for Piano, music spanning centuries and woven into a program in which the influence of traditional dance rhythms and song, informs the selection of music. Featured composers include Vine, Messiaen, Albeniz, Scarlatti, Soler, Chopin, Beethoven, Turina and Scriabin

Michael de Huy returns for his final appearance in the Emerging Concert Artist Series. Michael delighted the audiences in 2023 with his  Spanish program to jazz-inspired improvisation.

Since September 2023, Michael has won the Sydney Conservatorium of Music concerto competition; more recently, he has been selected as the youngest competitor in the National Piano Awards 2024. Michael has been awarded travel scholarships for the 3rd year allowing him to spend June and July 2024 studying and competing in Europe.  He will perform different programs in Bowral and Wollongong drawn from the repertoire he will present for the next phase of the National Piano Awards.
